Company History
The B-Logistics story is closely tied to that of our sister company, Books West. Founded in 1996, Books West is a regional book and media wholesaler serving the Rocky Mountain and Southwest regions. In 1999, Books West began offering outsourced order fulfillment services to its publisher partners. Among the services offered was liquidation of inventory overstock via Amazon.com's new third-party online sales channel.
In 2001, Amazon approached Books West about partnering with the Denver Public Library to sell library discards online, and a new company, B-Logistics, was formed to explore the opportunity. The synergy of strengths found at Books West and B-Logistics made them a great fit for institutional online media sales: decades of bookselling experience, large-scale order fulfillment capacity, specialized technology for order and inventory management, and logistics and freight management expertise.
Since those early days, B-Logistics has continually upgraded its technology and facilities to offer enhanced services to our client partners. B-Logistics now sells on all the leading online sales channels, and operates in a state-of-the-art 40,000 square foot facility in Denver.
